A Message From The Chief
On behalf of the men and women of the Fairmount Fire Protection District, welcome to our department’s Web site.

Our award winning Web site shows only a small part of the dedication and professionalism of our members and how they serve their community. Our Web site is constantly updated with new information about our department and its members. Please check back often to learn about us and to see how we are better serving our community.

Chief Don Angell became the second paid Fairmount Fire Protection District Fire Chief in January 2001. Chief Angell began his fire service career in 1979. During that time he has held the positions of Fire Fighter, Captain, Assistant Chief, Division Chief and currently Chief. Additionally he has served as a Fire Inspector, Training Chief, and Operations Chief. Chief Angell holds a Bachelors degree in Business that he obtained in 1980.

Chief Angell comes from a volunteer background and spent over nineteen years as a business manger prior to becoming a career Chief. He obtained NICET certifications in Fire Alarms and Special Hazard Systems and began Certification in Sprinkler Systems.

He is currently a Team leader with the Adams/Jeffco Hazardous Materials Team and works as a Type III Incident Commander on wildland incidents.
